“S3’s service is great for Catch Geelong, a subsidiary of Catch of the Day. As a business growing rapidly and requiring additional resources to support this growth at short notice S3 is able to supply us with a pool of quality team leaders and additional warehouse staff to keep our operation up and running smoothly.
Two of the team leaders initially chosen by S3 were of such a high caliber we ended up putting them onto our books on a full time basis. S3 also provide us with quality warehousing staff on an ad hoc basis to fulfill short term needs.
S3 conducted an initial induction to orient the candidates into our environment and to provide the opportunity to connect with the Catch team on a social level. This enabled us to interact with candidates and determine who would best fit our culture and environment. Thereafter S3 have been regularly on site to maintain communication with us and the employees.
The Labour Hire team visit us regularly to discuss current placements with both Management and Supervision, getting feedback and passing that feedback onto placements. Through this process they also check for upcoming needs so they can forecast effectively and anticipate filling ad hoc short notice needs. Dependent on volume, Derek visits at least once a week, along with a couple of phone calls to both Management and Supervision.
S3 conduct site risk assessments and toolbox meetings are conducted at least once a month, with discussions held around manual handling considerations, mobile equipment safety, reporting of incidents/near misses/property damage/injuries and other related topics. S3 also discuss safety on a regular basis when visiting and gain regular feedback from the employees.
Utilising S3’s labour hire service takes the pressure off Catch because they provide quick, efficient service and this saves us time and money. We are able to focus on running the business and leave the labour hire up to them. The advantage of using S3 is that we don’t have to worry about advertising, interviewing and spending time on the recruitment process. We can focus on what I do best and leave the recruitment up to S3.
The S3 team provide very attentive service. I know that I can ring the Labour Hire team at any time and they will help me out.
